Triumph in DC, Americans Drive Away SGB; Russian Dominance on Eastern Front Continues
NOTE: "Reports from the Frontlines" will appear every Saturday from now on to provide protection to our brave reporter on the frontlines.
August 6th, 2020-There are now 3 fronts in this war to end all wars. The story on each one is different. In America, the defense of Washington, DC, was successful for the second time. Once again, heroic JSF troops fought off the Spetznaz invaders. One sergeant who was in America's capital at the time tell us this story: "I was in a building near the National Mall with my squad, when I hear this Ruskie comin' up the stairs. Then there are more footsteps, and more. There gotta be at least 10 guys comin' up the stairs! I had 4 guys holed up with me, when suddenly some private whispers, "Guys, go out the window. I'm gonna take 'em down with me." Despite protest, he gets us to jump out the window. I hear this boom, and we all rush back inside. There, with the pin of a grenade in his mangled, mangled, hand, was the private, dead on the floor with 9 other Ruskies. If that ain't courage, I dunno what is." Positively heartwarming.
JSF offensives in the Midwest and New England forced the SGB troops there to retreat north. "We're hoping that this is the end of the Russian menace in America," Commander Mitchell says. However, Russian counterattacks have given US troops trouble on both sides, and it is unable to tell who has the advantage.
In Spain, the much publicized American invasion of Europe has pressed on, attacking Enforcer Corps positions at Le CEITO Army Base in South France and La Mancha on the arid Spanish plains. Le CEITO is succeeding, but fighting in Central Spain is in favor of the Euros.
On the Eastern Front, Copenhagen is still in Russian hands. Spetznaz troops have reached Istra, but have encountered heavy resistance from EF soldiers stationed there. "The heart of an Enforcer Corps member is the heart of a lion," EF President Perreau declared yesterday. The question is, will they stand the test of courage against Mother Russia? From San Diego, I'm Bruce Feld, signing off.

SGB Offensive on Both Fronts; D.C. Under Attack Again; America in Europe
July 30th, 2020-I regret to report that America's capital is under fire once again. Early yesterday morning, SGB Zhukov artillery started to bombard Washington, DC, an attack that started a massive counterattack against the powerful Paris-Washington Axis. Attacks by Russia in Albania, Denmark, and New England sparked General Sergei Izotov to call the operation "The end of EF and American tyranny." So mislead must the Russian people be to believe such a comment. In other Russian news, the following news article was intercepted by the CIA. It is believed to be written by the Российская Федерация News Network in Moscow: "News from the Eastern Front is encouraging. Copenhagen has been retaken by our forces, fully opening all ports to America, which is partially responsible for our surge in performance. Vlore was recaptured by Russian Spetsnaz, and opened up a route to Istra. We are pushing Europe back. Europe is pushing Europe forward. With any luck, they will be crushed in between. It is important to note that the European Laser Anti-Missile System is a major suppressant, keeping our forces from launching heavy munitions. The loss of this shield will not only effect the Eastern War, but the one in the West as well." This news revealed the Russian objective of Istra, European Federation.
More brutal fighting is going on in New York City between Spetznaz and European troops as they duke it out for the strategic airbase of Reagan Sea Base, which can provide air cover to the entire Eastern Seabord of the US.
The big news from the European Front is the American invasion of the Iberian Peninsula, breaking the supposedly "unbreakable" Paris-Washington Axis. The landings were likely caused by General Bankole's failure to defeat any SGB troops in NYC. Rumor has it that Portugal, including the capital of Lisbon and the key uplink cluster at Arrabida, is in American hands. Commander Scott Mitchell has said that his JSF forces in Europe will sweep through Spain and into the South of France.
On the Eastern Front, Russia has gained ground on both flanks, most notably in Copenhagen, which is once again in Russian hands. "Denmark will not slip from our grasp once again," President Kapalkin said yesterday from his Moscow bunker.
EF attacks in the Balkans have failed, and SGB troops are apparently moving towards the rest of the former Yugoslavia.
CNN regrets to tell our readers that the "Report from the Frontlines" section of the WWIII report has been postponed once again, this time as a result of the death of our correspondant on his way to Fort Campbell. His jeep was strafed by a Russian fighter plane. From San Diego, I'm Bruce Feld, signing off.

Small Counter-Attacks from Russia; EF Pulling out of USA
July 21, 2020-Compared to the 2 months before, the frontlines of World War III have seen as much of a stand still as ever. However, that doesn't mean that there was no fighting. In New England, the SGB has started a small counter attack designed to split off the Midwest from the rest of the country. The attack is so far succeeding, as Pennsylvania is almost in Russian hands once again. Fierce fighting at Fort Campbell in Virginia have not shown a clear victor yet, but Spetznaz seems to have a slight edge. When asked about the massive retreating last week, General Sergei Izotov of the SGB said, "Retreating? What retreating? We are simply strategically falling back."
In Georgia, JSF officers report that diplomatic negotiations between commanders on the Southern Front are close to negotiating a withrawal of Enforcer Corps troops from America by next week. Despite the peace talks, small skirmishes have been going on all day at Okefenokee, with the JSF winning the majority of them. President Becerra is optimistic about relations with Europe. "The Washington-Paris Axis is in perfect condition," a White House spokesman said earlier this week. It is unknown, however, if the EF will leave New York City if the Euros do, in fact, evacuate from the USA.
The salvaged offensive in western Russia by the EF is slowly grinding to a halt. European attacks at Carpathia have seen no sucess, and SGB troops in the north have resumed bombardment and attacks on Copenhagen. The European defenses in the city have shown no signs of breaking, however.
What will next week bring us? Will General Izotov give us another all-out offensive in America to prevent annhilation? Will Copenhagen fall once again to Mother Russia? From San Diego, I'm Bruce Feld, signing off.
Next week, tune in for CNN's first official "Report from the Frontlines." Our correspondants in Europe and the Northeast will give us news on what it really is like in the midst of World War III.

Europe Triumphant as Copenhagen is Liberated; Russia Continues to Retreat
July 14, 2020-What may come as a surprise to many comes naturally to Commander Scott Mitchell. Mitchell says that he always knew that Russia would retreat eventually, as did EF President Nathalie Perreau last week. Sure enough, these predictions were verified this week as much of northeast America was liberated from their Spetznaz occupiers. The SGB's brief stay in places like Springfield, Massachusetts, and Three Mile Island, Pennsylvania, struck at the heart of Commander Mitchell. He and President Beccera organized an offensive to strike back at the Russian Federation, the 3rd attack by the JSF in the New England area over the past month. "Currently, the JSF in the Midwest is very close to retaking Fort Campbell," Major Alice Dennison of the JSF says. "However, the same cannot be said for Grissom AFB and the rest of Indiana." Grissom, which has been held by Russia for almost the entirety of this 2 month war, has seen fighting for 3/4 of the time the airbase has been in SGB hands. While the fighting has been going on in the north, the EF has promised to withdraw from North Carolina and back into Georgia.
One possible cause of the sudden Spetznaz retreat is the fact that Presidents Becerra and Perreau have been talking of a cease fire between the 2 factions. Apparently, the talks succeeded, and Pamlico has seen very little fighting over the past week. Is the Russian destruction in America almost over? "We aim to have ejected the Russians from America in 1 month," Major Dennison says.
In Europe, the front page headline this week is the liberation of Copenhagen. The citizens in Denmark's former capital were "terrified for the entire occupation," says one anonymous civilian. In Greece, the fortress called "impossibly impenetrable" by SGB General Sergei Izotov, is very close to falling to Enforcer Corps troops. The capture of the city would mean that all of Europe would be under the EF's control again. European troops are also very close to taking the Russian army base of Fort Levski. "The loss of the fort would be a huge blow to Russia's morale," says EF head propagandist LeRoyce Rider.
Despite all of the wins from the "Paris-Washington Axis," as the America-EF alliance is being called by the press, the Euro attacks in Ukraine have been ineffective, especially at the Russian strongholds of Carpathia and the much sought after Black Sea port of Sevestapol.
This war has changed very much in the 2 months it has been going on for. What changes will next week bring us? Will the Washington-Paris Axis continue to dominate, or will the Russian Federation rebound and slaughter once again? In San Diego, I'm Bruce Feld, signing off.

America Jubilant as Russia Retreats; EF Pushes Back into America, Russia
July 10, 2020-Things are finally going President David Becerra's way. The JSF put up one of the most brave fights the USA has ever seen at Washington over the past week, and pushed the Russian menace out of the nation's capital. Commander Scott Mitchell said this of the victory: "This past week will be remembered along the lines of D-Day. Never has America had such an important victory on the battlefield." The US troops broke out of DC and pushed the Russians back past Three Mile Island, and the JSF 14th Assault Battalion liberated the major Massachusetts city of Springfield. Spetznaz troops in New York City rushed forward to try to stop the bleeding. An offensive is currently going on in northern Indiana and Ohio. Sensing that the time was right to move back into the US, European Forces moved into the now vacant Reagan Seabase, giving them a foothold to invade America. The EF also landed troops in Georgia again and rushed back up into the Carolinas. America is currently preparing a counterattack. "Russia will retreat eventually," European President Perreau said of the situation. "That is when we will strike."
Enforcer Corps soldiers kept the offensive in Eastern Europe rolling, as EF troops moved towards the oilfields of Albania and the Russian Army base at Fort Levski. So far, the 2 operations have seen nothing but sucess, and General Bankole is optimistic about the EF's chances of retaking Copenhagen. If the operations in Albania succeed, the Russian fortress in Thessaly, Greece, will be surrounded by European forces, which means it will be forced to surrender. President Kapalkin and General Izotov had no comments on the defeats.
Quickly, World War III is changing it's course. America is pushing Russia back towards Maine, Commander Mitchell's planned "exit point for the Ruskies," as he said at a press conference earlier this week, and Europe is making a move for Moscow. Is this the end of the SGB's dominance? In San Diego, I'm Bruce Feld, signing off.

Washington Under Attack as Vital US Support is Gone; Euros Salvage Offensive as Copenhagen Falls
July 4, 2020-The moment President David Becerra feared the most since his election earlier this year has come: Washington, DC is under attack. President Kapalkin of the Russian Federation gave the order to move into America's capital this morning. All day, brutal fighting in the streets has raged, and both sides have had many dead.
The initiation of "Operation Death," as General Izotov has been calling the invasion of DC, would not have happened if it weren't for the resounding sucesses the SGB encountered in New England. Pennslyvania and New York fell earlier this week, taking away vital air support from Reagan Sea Base in New York Harbor in Long Island. So far, the battle in Washington has seen America take the slightest advantage. Another reason for the ability for the SGB to invade the heavily defended city was that much of the JSF's troops and machines were occupied in the invasion of Portugal (which was held up at Arrabida yesterday). However, America succeeded in pushing the EF completely out of America by winning at Okefenokee. The American invasion was "expected," as President Perreau put it. "We invaded, and they struck back. The difference was, we were ready." CNN will have word on the status of Washington, DC tomorrow.
On the European Front, the offensive that General Bankole himself called "ineffective" and "a waste of materials", was saved by heroic fighting in eastern Russia and Latvia. The Enforcer Corps achieved both of their objectives of Istra and Mahilyow, and Brenner Pass in the Alps. Spetznaz is retreating, according to reports from EF officers at the front lines. The offensive is expected to continue next week. However, the SGB massed their forces around Copenhagen and took the major city. This could prove to be a mortal blow for the EF. From San Diego, I'm Bruce Feld, signing off.
