June 27, 2020-The long awaited retalitory strike on Russia from Commander Scott Mitchell of the USA turned out to be a flop. American operations to take back the Midwest and push Russia back was an enormous failure, with the JSF getting slaughtered at Grissom AFB. The other two major battles were at Springfield and Fort Campbell, and both ended in American failure. The White House had no comment, but General Sergei Izotov did: "I hope this proves to the media that Russia will be an empire for thousands of years!" Commander Mitchell did, however, hold off the Russian invaders in Pennsylvania and New York City in a huge sweep across SGB territory. Also, the JSF took back the city of Pamlico from the EF, driving the Enforcer Corps back into Georgia. This should provide a huge boost of morale for American citizens, who have seen nothing but defeat for the past month.
In Europe, the "strike against the menace", as it has been called by European President Perreau has called it, has been a massive failure. Euro troops were massacred at Mahilyow to the happiness of Russian President Kapalkin. He spoke in Red Square 2 days ago urging the Moscow population to join the Russian Army and fight for the Motherland.
The story is quite different in Copenhagen, which is quickly becoming a Russian bloodbath. Enforcer Corps soldiers are experts in finding defensive positions fast, as showed by the massive casualties inflicted on Spetznaz by Europe during the past 2 weeks. Also, General Bankole initiated a counterattack in the Austrian Alps at Brenner Pass, attempting to make up for the losses at Mahilyow and Istra.
World War III was basically a deadlock this week, but let's hope that the JSF steps up and pushes away the Russian Bear! From San Diego, I'm Bruce Feld, signing off.
