NOTE: "Reports from the Frontlines" will appear every Saturday from now on to provide protection to our brave reporter on the frontlines.
August 6th, 2020-There are now 3 fronts in this war to end all wars. The story on each one is different. In America, the defense of Washington, DC, was successful for the second time. Once again, heroic JSF troops fought off the Spetznaz invaders. One sergeant who was in America's capital at the time tell us this story: "I was in a building near the National Mall with my squad, when I hear this Ruskie comin' up the stairs. Then there are more footsteps, and more. There gotta be at least 10 guys comin' up the stairs! I had 4 guys holed up with me, when suddenly some private whispers, "Guys, go out the window. I'm gonna take 'em down with me." Despite protest, he gets us to jump out the window. I hear this boom, and we all rush back inside. There, with the pin of a grenade in his mangled, mangled, hand, was the private, dead on the floor with 9 other Ruskies. If that ain't courage, I dunno what is." Positively heartwarming.
JSF offensives in the Midwest and New England forced the SGB troops there to retreat north. "We're hoping that this is the end of the Russian menace in America," Commander Mitchell says. However, Russian counterattacks have given US troops trouble on both sides, and it is unable to tell who has the advantage.
In Spain, the much publicized American invasion of Europe has pressed on, attacking Enforcer Corps positions at Le CEITO Army Base in South France and La Mancha on the arid Spanish plains. Le CEITO is succeeding, but fighting in Central Spain is in favor of the Euros.
On the Eastern Front, Copenhagen is still in Russian hands. Spetznaz troops have reached Istra, but have encountered heavy resistance from EF soldiers stationed there. "The heart of an Enforcer Corps member is the heart of a lion," EF President Perreau declared yesterday. The question is, will they stand the test of courage against Mother Russia? From San Diego, I'm Bruce Feld, signing off.
